Jello Salad

Family reunion!!! We feasted! Biscuits and gravy, turkey sandwiches from fresh roasted turkeys, and BBQ with Mormon Jello salad! I will give you the recipe for the Jello salad so I don't over load you with too many recipes, and it was the highlight of the meals :) BTW, Mormon's are very careful with their recipes, therefore it was their fault that they leaked it to a traitor like me!!!

Easy Jello Salad

Equal parts of Cottage Cheese to Cool Whip
One Box of Strawberry Jello
One Can of Mandarin oranges

Mix it all together and let it chill

*EASY PEASY and more delish than you will ever know

  6. You're funny..."leaked it to a traitor like me" ;D We have a very similar recipe, us non-denominationals ;) It's Cool Whip, crushed pineapple, cottage cheese, and the Strawberry Jell-O. I think that's it. Thanks for the Mormon version ;) Happy REDS~

  7. I remember these cottage cheese/jello salads from my childhood in the 70s. An aunt in W. Tx would make them at every family gathering. I know there was a green one because I didn't like it! The last year or so I been having occasional cravings for one of these salads. Thanks for the recipe-- Since I'm a heathen I'll probably add oranges and pineapple!

    :o)

  8. Well this sounds like a goof-proof recipe! I should be able to make this and not mess it up like I did the Dreamsicle Salad I made for a family function last year. I don't know what I did wrong, but now it's always referred to as The Dreamsicle Incident!
    Happy REDnesday!

That sounds so delish! Its usually the simpler recipes that are the best. I will have to try it.

  10. Sandy,
Equal parts, like, I would buy a 8 oz container of cottage cheese and add 8 oz of cool whip to a small box of jello. If you want to make more like double it, then you should use the bigger box. I am such a spazzy cook. I just kind of eye ball it!
