Sausage with Kraut

When my husband first had this meal he was disgusted by the sour kraut. Now he loves it. It was always a traditional meal in my polish home. It is so easy and cheap.

1 kiebaska sausage cut up and fried or grilled brats
3 potatoes microwaved until soft then cut up and fried with the sausage
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 cups of kraut

Cook everything in the same pan until crispy and warm, then add the kraut at the end just enough to get warm. Serve with a spicy mustard.

Seriously this meal probably cost me 2.00 a person. The sausage was 3.00 a couple potatoes, onion, garlic and a can of sour kraut.

  2. Found you on Tag-Along-Tuesday. On my blog, if you search for "Kim Chi and Sauerkraut" you will find a method for homemade sauerkraut. There is nothing like it. I will never buy supermarket kraut again.

I'm on a low carb diet, and this meal looks fabulous! I could just omit the potatoes and add broccoli or something. Thanks!
