Sausages and Sauerkraut

I grew up with this as a dinner staple... although my polish mother used polish sausage. My spanish husband prefers spicy brats to polish sausage, but either way is delish.

Snausages and kraut

5 bratwursts or a whole polish sausage
1 can sour kraut
5 red potatoes
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
brown mustard

Cook sausages on a skilled on low for about 35 minutes, it feels more like 2 hours!

Cut 5 red potatoes into bite size chunks and cook on medium in olive oil until softened.

Add one yellow onion sliced and 2 cloves of minced garlic and salt and pepper.

Cook potatoe mixture until browned and then add 1 can of drained sour kraut.

Serve with spicy yellow mustard.

Not only is this heartwarming, but it is a cheap meal!
