Fried Goat Cheese Salad

I had some goat cheese that needed to be used up... I started a search looking for goat cheese recipes and this one caught my eye. Probably because it was fried cheese, something I am a sucker for! It was really yummy, it may not look perfect... but I don't care what it looks like as long as it tastes good.

Fried Goat Cheese Salad

2 ounces goat cheese
1/4 cup flour
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs or crushed nuts
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Heat the oil in the pan to 350 or on high heat. While oil heats, prepare cheese. Cut the cold cheese into thin slices, cover it in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Be sure the cheese is completely covered so it doesn't melt out of the coating. With a slotted spoon place the cheese into hot oil, cook for until golden brown on both sides. (Don't put too many slices in the pan at once, because you want to keep the oil very hot, so the cheese doesn't melt too much while frying).

Serve on top a green salad.

Now it is your turn to share what you made for dinner!
This is a recipe swap.
The rules are simple.
